I have been cycling my entire life, but in the early 90’s it went from just riding a bike into a full blown passion.

I started teaching mountain biking skills professionally and soon started racing down hill around BC. As the passion grew, it took over more and more of my life and turned from mountain biking to commuting, road riding, cruiser rides, BMX racing and even a bit of unicycling.

I continued with racing in many different disciplines, managed a national race team for a couple years and worked my way into a product manager position with an international bike company and the largest parts distributor in Canada. In 2005, I was offered the opportunity to start Marzocchi Canada and jumped at it. With the product knowledge I’ve gained and contacts I’ve made along with my years in the saddle, opening a bike shop gives me a great opportunity to share my passion and experience with the amazing cycling community of Campbell River, Gold River, Quadra Island, Sayward, Port McNeil and Port Hardy.

I love just riding my bikes...yes bikes...cruiser bike, road and mountain bikes.  I’ve always loved my bike and enjoyed bouncing around the trails wherever I was. When I left Campbell River for the city a few years back (James’ fault). I concentrated more on road riding and can’t wait to get out on some rides on the Island and soak up some of the scenery of the gorgeous North Island.

With a background in tourism, event management and business I am super excited to be opening a bike shop and turn my passion into my livelihood. What an amazing opportunity this is going to be for me to help support and develop cycling from a women’s perspective on the North Island.

I can’t put into words how happy I am to be back on the Island. Don’t worry, I didn’t tell anyone in the city how great the Island lifestyle is.
